This is a collection of photographs of Sydney City that I have taken at various times over the last few years. I add new images from time to time as I take them.

Gothic Night

This panorama was shot around midnight, early in 2019. It was a misty night and the city looked amazing from my high perch. Click on the image for a larger view. This image can be printed at up to 125 centimetres wide (49 inches).

Super Cell over Sydney

A super cell is a rotating thunderstorm, this one rolled in over Sydney one afternoon from the south west, looking like the end of the world. It was a truly awe inspiring display of the power of mother nature.

Burning Sunset

Fires in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney lead to a spectacular spectacular sunset one night. But the light was changing by the minute making it a race against time to set up my camera and shoot the scene.

I love the blazing sky in this photograph and in front of it the dark city lit by it’s own lights…

After the Storm

Weather comes and weather goes – but it’s often the moment between one state and another that creates the most powerful image. On a rainy afternoon I wasn’t expecting Sydney to put on show, but as the storm passed, the sun came out lighting the apartments and townhouses of Victoria St in Potts Point, while sullen clouds still squatted over the city.
